Donovan Pyle is the CEO of Health Compass Consulting and author of "Fixing Healthcare: How Executives Can Save Their People, Their Business, and the Economy." He also serves as a Senior Advisor at the Validation Institute in Boston, where he was recently named 2025 Benefits Advisor of the Year. While working on the insurer and brokerage side of the industry, Donovan witnessed how the misaligned incentives between brokers and employers significantly undermined the financial and physical health of organizations. To counter the brokerage industry, Donovan founded Health Compass Consulting in 2018. With over 20 years of experience leading benefits administration for large employers, such as Darden Restaurants’ 180,000 employees, and managing mid-market accounts at Aon for clients like Tesla, Maurice Clarke has witnessed firsthand the conflicts of interest within the brokerage industry that hinder employers from delivering competitive benefits.
He joined Health Compass Consulting, inspired by the mission to tackle wasteful healthcare spending through a fiduciary model free from brokerage conflicts. As VP of Employee Benefits, Maurice brings extensive experience as an employer/plan sponsor and leads the Health Compass team in designing and delivering tailored benefit strategies. These strategies are built upon our proprietary frameworks, ensuring compliance, cost containment, and exceptional employee experiences.
